Penelope Curwen is an Associate at Critical Resource. She has worked on projects in Africa, Latin America, Europe and the Former Soviet Union. Penelope previously gained experience working with political risk consultancy, AKE Intelligence, on Europe and the former Soviet Union, and has also worked with the Liberal Democrats. Her research interests focus on the links between natural resources, conflict and development.
Penelope holds an MSc with Distinction in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE), and was awarded the MSc Conflict Studies Prize for best overall performance. Before this, she graduated with a first-class honours BA in European Social and Political Studies from University College London (UCL), receiving a Distinction in Spanish.
